While it likely isn't illegal to accept donations from contractors working for the board, it does smell. The best way to counter that smell is to vote.
Claiming that Huntsville City Schools are in better shape than they have ever been will not help our district draw families to Huntsville but truth will.
Our board cares more about defending themselves than they do defending all our kids. It's a shame that they only respond when comments are in the press.

With the OmniFund Initiative, the district is planning to charge a 7.5% administrative fee on every donation to ensure equity.
HCPTAs states that the local PTAs are already in compliance. They're right for the wrong reasons. Their logic could lead to making PTAs "School Activities."
