Huntsville City School Board Meeting Today at 5:00pm

HCSBoard Seal

On Thursday (9/8/2011) there will be a Special Called Board Meeting at 5:00pm to discuss “human resource items.” This meeting will be followed by the second Budget Hearings meeting for the FY 2012 that is scheduled to begin at 5:30pm.

Since the first Budget Hearing meeting lasted all of 44 minutes (or $5.5 million per minute), I would expect that everyone will be home tonight by about 6:30pm. Unless, that is, people start asking questions.

Along those lines, I’ll have a few questions that I’ll be posting later today concerning the budget, but until then I wanted everyone to know about the meetings. Dr. Wardynski has correctly stated that our budget is our “statement of priorities.” Please come out to show him what your priorities are.

As always, the meeting will be broadcast on ETV (Comcast 17, Knology 99-it has recently moved from 71), and at the Huntsville City Schools website. I will also be live-tweeting the meeting @russwinn. You can follow on Twitter or on the Geek Palaver Facebook Page.
